Elizabeth van Rein is a senior association member of the Royal Society of Medicine.

She started training in counselling in 2001 at Birmingham University in psychoanalytical and humanistic models of training while working in the corporate finance sector.

During training, she discovered that psychotherapy, psychology and psychiatry has its roots in hypnotherapy. Before completing an advanced diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling, she trained for two years in hypnotherapy and incorporated neuro linguistic programming (NLP) and eye movement desensitisation reprogramming (EMDR) into her work.

She finalised her advanced psychotherapy training and counselling at Chrysalis, whose renowned high standards are Royal College of Nursing approved.

She has used many approaches, including psychoanalytic, humanistic approaches in Gestalt and person-centred counselling, transactional analysis and rational emotive behavioural and cognitive therapy (CBT.)

Lotoya Neil - Physiotherapist

Lotoya Neil

MHCPC, MCSP, Chartered Physiotherapist

Lotoya Neil offers a truly holistic approach and a lot of her studies and professional development has been in pain management. She is passionate about listening to your problem, understanding how it affects you and working with you to achieve your goals.

With more than 15 years’ experience working in local authorities, NHS and private healthcare practices, she has skills and experience as a physiotherapist, gym instructor, personal trainer and nutrition adviser. We have developed a deeply relaxing treatment known as hypno-massage through collaborative working.

This helps relax the mind and release aching muscles, which can help people with headaches, anxiety, tension and stress. We offer a ‘one stop shop’ for people referred through their insurance companies after an accident on the road or at work. We also work with people that have vascular dementia who may need cognitive and physical rehabilitation.

Another element to Hannah’s role is providing continuous support to her colleagues, to be sure that they are maintaining healthy and positive lifestyles.

Racheal - Clinical Practitioner

Advance Clinical Practitioner

I have undertaken BSc(Hons) degrees in Biomedical Sciences, Postgraduate studies in Nursing, qualified in BSc(Hons) as an Emergency Practitioner and Postgraduate legal studies. I have experience and an interest  in the field of negligence.  I have also undertaken training as a Paramedic after working as an independent Practitioner for West Midlands Ambulance Service for nearly five years.

As an associate of Talking Heads Therapy, I work closely with my colleagues and their clients/patients.  Whilst the team work with their mind and body, (within physical or psychological best practice), I collaborate with them to look at the client/patient in a holistic manner, through gaining from clients and patients a concise medical history, investigations undergone and pharmacology history. I am then able to advice on medication and treatments.  I am also in the privileged position to be able to liaise with client’s general practitioners and offer advice on changes of medications and referrals to specialists if required.  I have a particular interest in working with clients / patients experiencing depression, which I have, experience in this field. My success to date is being a published journal article.

I have over ten years of experience working in the prehospital, emergency and acute settings.  I also have experience working in the urgent care setting and for private practice.  My current role is working in out of hours providing care for all ward-based patients.  I have a great deal of experience working with clients / patients and their carers / relatives with long term conditions and those deemed end of life.
